I'm asking everyone reading this to dig deep and find a couple hours to volunteer for @valencia4actransit.bsky.social and/or to donate to her campaign.

She is an incredible candidate, but it's challenging to win against an incumbent. Please join me in helping her win.

Tacos + transit 🌮🚌 What more could you want on a Saturday? I’ll be taking the 54 🚌 to Fruitvale and joining today’s Tempo Line Taco Tour down International Blvd. Come ride (and eat!) with us!

AC Transit and Director Joel Young thought they could sweep his harassment under the rug by hiding it and then lying about it.

No way were we going to let that happen.

Young isn’t fit for office, and since his colleagues won’t hold him accountable, voters must.

That third vote is so important! I joined the BART Board as an outsider, but critically I was the third outsider, joining Radulovich and Raburn. Though we were still the minority, we frequently pulled together majority votes. And then we helped elect allies and became the rider focused majority.

The Chronicle gets it: the Bay Area will not work without public transit. We must pass the Regional Transit Measure, else we're looking at a future that may not have BART at all, and that will see drastic cuts to other services.

BART’s down, AC Transit saves the day! Taking the 45 to the Oakland Roots game instead of paying $45 for parking. 🚌⚽️@oaklandroots.bsky.social @rideact.bsky.social

My motion passed unanimously to get rider-centric data to the board on a monthly basis regarding reliability issues/cancelled buses. This is a great start. Thank you everyone for speaking up! ✊✊✊

An incredibly well thought out and informed public comment about the AC Transit reliability crisis. If you're considering submitting a comment to the AC Transit Board, I recommend clicking and reading this, especially this portion, which shows how dire the situation is post-Realign service cuts:

Riders were asked to accept less frequency in exchange for reliability. Yet district data shows Service Operated was about 98.5 percent immediately before Realign in 2025. By July 2026, it had fallen to 89.93 percent. This is the second-lowest monthly result in all of AC Transit’s published KPI data. At the system average, a regular weekday rider has gone from encountering fewer than one dropped trip a month to about one every week.

I talked to @oaklandside about what that means for AC Transit & why this budget still doesn't fix it. The programs cut are key to deliver on the state’s climate goals & to support communities that are overburdened by poor air quality, the impacts of climate change, & the rising cost of living.

New in @oaklandside: Oakland's Tempo 🚌 line just lost millions in funding because @airresources.bsky.social caved to the oil industry and blew a hole in funding transit riders were already promised.👇https://oaklandside.org/2026/09/02/california-carbon-trade-program-changes-defunds-oakland-rapid-bus/
