Biddy Blas is in my ears and in my eyes

A colourful picture of the Beatles who have had their heads photoshopped so that they all have the head of Biddy Blas from Star Wars: Galactic Racer

Very excited to pick up my copy today! When I took a flick through my friend's copy, it fell open to the fleshy mobile phone, making it a guaranteed buy

Loved Resident Evil! It's such a fun film to see at the cinema.

My review of Resident Evil: YEAHH VIDEO GAMES

Bryan is a medical courier, a guy who transports organs, and he's just finished his shift, but with a hard conversation waiting for him at home, he decides to take on one last job for double the pay. The job: get an organ to Raccoon City Hospital.

It took longer to write that than it did for the film to set all that up. Bryan's job, his home life and his quest to Raccoon City is enough to get us going, and along the way, we learn along with Bryan how massive the stakes are. It's a propulsive, thrilling theme park ride let down only by the shit representation of fat people which the Resident Evil franchise already has.

The fat fella in the sewers seen in the trailer turned out to just be a big fat guy, albeit one containing infected rats. No lines, no backstory, just a vessel for a shocking scene. Paul Walter Hauser's character was a bumbling idiot out of his depth who was funny, but he was gratingly stupid. Why would he honk the horn in the worst city on Earth? It played into stupid fat guy stereotypes.

Despite that, I enjoyed the rest of it. We never leave Bryan's perspective as he goes from set piece to set piece so the tension builds and builds until its tragic climax.

“Rejection” means that someone in the chain is looking for a German Shepherd and you’re handed them something else. Perhaps it was a chihuahua. Perhaps a bicycle. The fact that you didn’t give them the German Shepherd they want doesn’t mean your bicycle is bad, it just means it’s a bicycle.

I love Pluribus so much! I foolishly expected more Breaking Bad and Saul DNA in there, but the pace is leisurely by comparison

Rorschach spends almost all of chapter 1 breaking into people's homes and offices, freaking them out, and then fucking off.
