Amazing T-shirt.

Cover D is from Andrea Olimpieri, and I really love the composition on this one. This really viscerally captures the themes and the key conflicts at the core of our story, which I hope will resonate with readers.

Cover C is from series artist Tom Mandrake, with colours from Justin Prokowich. I've talked about this already, but I'm so hyped to be working with Tom on this book, and I LOVE the work he's been doing, it's been a case of watching a master at work.

Cover B is from Seth Adams, and features our series protagonist, Silky. He stood out as my favourite character in Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, and I'm so excited we got to tell this new story with him and his conflicted allegiances at its centre.

Cover A is from Andrea Sorrentino, and I love the composition incorporating Ryong Choi into a burning Seattle cityscape, as metaphorical and literal fires in the city will figure prominently into our story.

So Danny Trejo was manipulated and tricked into being in Ben Shapiro's newest film. Holy shit.

@johnlees.bsky.socialOct 12, 2026, 2:54 PM

I've not seen it yet to comment on its quality, but it seems like a weird, offbeat awards season film that's seeing weird, offbeat awards season film returns, but the massive inflated budget has put it at a major loss. And the eagerness to frame this as a shameful disaster feels try-hard to me.

@johnlees.bsky.socialOct 12, 2026, 2:50 PM

Like, it's a film that didn't have great marketing ahead of time, and even someone like me who was interested in it had a "Wait, that's out THIS WEEK?!" moment when it was released. But I'm sure this steady stream of articles about what a massive turkey it is can't have helped its box office either.

The coverage of Digger just seems so suspect to me. Aside from a flurry of scathingly negative reviews from major outlets shortly ahead of release, the majority of critical/audience response I've seen to it has been positive, yet we're getting pummelled with constant "biggest flop ever!" articles.

Daniel Warren Johnson does it again. This would make one hell of a poster and I NEED this on my wall.

One irrational pet peeve I’ve developed is the barrage of video reels on Insta that start with somebody pointing up to the text on the screen above them like this…

What a weekend for our Darkest Dungeon graphic novel on BackerKit! We're now at well over $300,000 in funding. And there's still plenty of room on the stagecoach, if you want to join our campaign!

Watched the extremely fun giallo slasher Stage Fright (1987) with some friends this evening. It veers between very silly and genuinely effective, and is unlike almost anything else. Possibly the greatest mask in horror too.

Every year, for my Halloween party I screen three horror films announced ahead of time, and then finish the evening with a Midnight Mystery Movie I keep a secret, often something wild I hope can end the evening with a bang. Stage Fright was last year's pick, and it went down a treat!

I preordered my copy on PS5 and it arrived in the mail a couple of days ago, but I’m thinking I might hold off on playing it until Christmas to give me something to look forward to!
