I'll always hope things are going well and hope you're happy where you are. I can just hope you're thinking the same for me while I keep pushing forward. Maybe I'll even catch a glimpse of you again someday. Until then, keep being yourself.

The memories are all it feels like I have left and looking back at them brings me joy. The more I hold on, the less I get anywhere. I don't want to forget but when I remember it hurts knowing you're not here now. I'm left in such a state of disconnect, it makes it hard to fit in elsewhere.

Waiting patiently even when I know you've moved on to bigger and better things while I kept waiting. Not wanting to go forward when I felt like everything I needed was once right here with me. I kept looking back, hoping to catch a glimpse of you coming back this way.

The distance between keeps getting further and further apart as we each go our own ways. Always thinking of you while left wondering if you're even thinking of me. Attempts at trying to keep up often seeming one sided as I'm left sitting at the door hoping one day you'll come knocking.
