While they don’t quite mean the same thing, as noted in my post, it’s a similarity that’s been pointed out to me quite a few times! Is your language your song? I don’t know, but it’s a pretty linguistic similarity that I love.

Totie wee additional point. The German word for ‘song’ is spelt slightly differently from the Scots word for language ‘leid’. Instead it’s ‘lied’.
