@richardloxley.richardloxley.com.ap.brid.gy@fak in case you donāt already know this: when my house was upgraded they swapped the 60A for what I thought was 100A as thatās what the sticker on the outside of the fuse holder said. But I recently found out that the 100A on the fuse holder is just the rating of the holder, and it can hold [ā¦]
@richardloxley.richardloxley.com.ap.brid.gy@fak from what I vaguely remember when installing mine, in the installer settings of the Zappi I think you can configure your house current limit (to match your main fuse). Might be worth having a hunt around the settings to check it hasnāt been set too low?

@richardloxley.richardloxley.com.ap.brid.gyI felt I might have been able to beat my personal best (37 minutes) today, but sadly at the 2.5km point (after doing 2 of the 3 hills) my problematic right knee started to complain, so I eased off my pace to finish in 38.5 minutes. In hindsight with how I feel now perhaps I should have just [ā¦]
@richardloxley.richardloxley.com.ap.brid.gy18th #parkrun and the weather is starting to bite: 10Ā°C but thankfully half of the route is in the sun which takes the edge off.
15 min+ warm up in a hoody and beanie, then I dumped them in the car in exchange for a sun hat.
Soon I might need to [ā¦]
@richardloxley.richardloxley.com.ap.brid.gyIāve just found a site that gives up-to-date estimates of #covid prevalence in England.
This week 1 in 175 people are estimated to have covid, and they predict a wave nearly as big as last year, where 1 in 103 were infected.
@richardloxley.richardloxley.com.ap.brid.gyAn alternative to GLP-1 drugs (which reduce hunger and aid weight loss)? A new form of dietary fibre (inulin propionate ester, or IPE) has been approved in the EU as a food additive. This causes the gut to naturally generate its own GLP-1. The trials are small, and suggest it prevents weight [ā¦]
@richardloxley.richardloxley.com.ap.brid.gyThis weekās #parkrun Iām getting both a participation and volunteering credit by being a parkwalker.
I was going to walk anyway as Iāll be driving home later and donāt want to be exhausted for that, so I may as well help out at the same time.
@richardloxley.richardloxley.com.ap.brid.gyNew lightweight poncho, for #running in heavy rain.
Also useful for emergency use in the car in case of breakdowns or unexpected inclement weather.
@richardloxley.richardloxley.com.ap.brid.gy@TheVoidTLMB it looks very heavily biased towards drama. I donāt see any quiz shows, game shows, panel shows, or documentaries, and of the ones I recognised only two were non-drama.
(I admit there are many I donāt recognise.)
Iāve watched at least one series of 17 of them, which given the [ā¦]
@richardloxley.richardloxley.com.ap.brid.gy@fak Iām also doing double-takes, as she looks very like Bonnie Langford, who coincidentally plays a character called Melanie in Doctor Who :-)
@richardloxley.richardloxley.com.ap.brid.gy16th #parkrun had a dark & dismal start with rain by the end.
I got there early and did a good long warm up in my hoody, which I stashed in the car before the start.
New shoes seemed ok - I tried them during the week and they felt a bit weird [ā¦]

@richardloxley.richardloxley.com.ap.brid.gy@MarvinFreeman I went to a Runners Need shop - they do it for Ā£15 (which you get back if you buy shoes from them within 30 days).
From the link they sent me to view the results, it seems they are using Ochy, and the Ochy app seems to allow you to do your own analysis (Iām not sure how much that [ā¦]
@richardloxley.richardloxley.com.ap.brid.gy#Running gait analysis done.
Iām supposedly fine with neutral running shoes.
Apparently I have āexcessive abductionā on my lower left leg, and āexcessive pelvic dropā during right foot landing. Iāll have to look at the exercises they recommend [ā¦]
@richardloxley.richardloxley.com.ap.brid.gy@fak Iāve spent the last day or so resting with much looser laces and the pain has pretty much subsided, so Iām thinking lacing may well be the cause (the pain was just below where there is a hard non-flexible part of the tongue).
