Some sound common sense advice in here on a subject that’s an issue around most schools. In Wollaton we have problems at Fernwood & Middleton schools. Finding effective solutions isn’t easy. As Cllrs we continue to work with parents, residents & schools.

@stevebattlemuch.bsky.socialWhen it came in I guess some thought it would stop clear errors but obviously it’s replaced them with VAR errors! A whole industry has been built around it. I suspect the vast majority of fans would scrap it if left to them to decide.

Two 1-0 defeats from what were in all likelihood 0-0 ones. The ‘high bar’ to overturn goals by VAR doesn’t seem to apply at the City Ground. Glasner project will take time. We need patience.

@stevebattlemuch.bsky.socialIt’s down to Cllrs to raise whatever issues they choose. The chair could have reminded them that many of the issues raised had already been covered but chose not to. The officer was excellent imo on pointing this out. Not all council planning meetings are like that.

Finally it’s happening. Still work to do on the transport issues but no reason why that can’t be solved with common sense, good will and political drive. Let’s get on with it #nffc
@stevebattlemuch.bsky.socialSpeaking at Nottingham City Council meeting yesterday about the welcome investment into the city after years of austerity. We need to keep this up to restore some pride, create new jobs and opportunities for residents.
@stevebattlemuch.bsky.socialAt the council meeting today I’ve spoken about the need to continue to work towards a rationalisation of local govt structures. I urged the council to dispel the misinformation given about the cities finances. We need fit for purpose structures for the next generation, not more of the status quo
