I work with developers all the time. It's also my background. As a very general rule; don't go to programmers when you want solid information about human (or human-like) interaction.

I don't think there's a Nobel Cunt Prize... is there?

@ianwinick.bsky.social I meant what I said. Porridge is as important to me as Queen, The Beatles, or Terry Pratchett. It's a foundational part of who I am.

@ianwinick.bsky.social I believe you mentioned this on Lord of Adders Black, did you not?

@tomarmbruster.bsky.social you should give that pod a listen. If you're a fan you'll love it, if you're only casually aware of Blackadder it will give you a window into the show.

Finally got around to watching this. Absolutely heartbreaking. Very well-made doc though - beautifully paced and as you say, didn't really sugar-coat anything. I didn't know anything about the guy really so it was really eye-opening. Would highly recommend watching this to anyone else for sure.

One of my very favourite Dylan songs. So hauntingly beautiful. I love his voice on this record too and the whole thing is a late-career masterpiece, but this song in particular gives me goosebumps every time.

So a big thanks to RHLSTP for so many tears of laughter for so many years.
- There is no amount of money that could entice me to fellate the actor Keith Allen
- Suncream
- The finger that could travel through time
- I think I vaguely recall getting the tip in once as a young man...

I've been a badger (IYKYK) for somewhere around 7 or 8 years now and have emailed Rich twice - receiving replies both times. Apart from being the hardest working podcaster in the world, he's also a fucking briliant standup who's shows I love and a decent and generous human being.

I'm glad that the book club episodes will continue and I LOVED the episode with Kevin Toms. As a fellow Football Manager obsessive in my youth, it was great to hear from the man himself and if I can find an alternative to Amazon I'll be buying his book!

The episodes with Bob Mortimer, Greg Davies, Sarah Millican, John Kearns, Ed Gamble (HE HASN'T GOT ME!), James Acaster, and Bridget Christie are comfort listening for me. Throw in the beautiful conversation with Paul Chuckle and the superb episode with hero Michael Palin as other highlights.

Rich's brand of faux petulance and arrogance is exactly the right balance for me and seeing guests either get it completely and double down on it, or occasionally clearly not understand it at all (we still need to hear the Richard E Grant episode - could we crowdfund the legal defence?) was joyous.

Along with Maron and Adam Buxton, RHLSTP was the first comedian-chats-to-guest podcast I listened to. I'm pretty sure it's also the only one that I've listened to every episode of; many, multiple times.

Gutted to hear that @herring1967.bsky.social is wrapping up RHLTSP (RHLSTP!) after fifteenish years.

I completely understand all the reasons and the fact that he's been able to make a show like that, as good as that, for as long as he has is testament to his talent and work ethic.
