The Things You Do For Love

A set of discord message from me explaining my cursor situation. The transcript starts here:
So I don’t know how many people I’ve told this, but for those who are not in the know: Mac doesn’t have innate custom cursors, there are apps you have to find.
And I got it set up, but the issue I would have consistently is, like… the custom cursor would show up, say, if I was on my desktop or top/bottom help bar.
But I’d be on a different window like, say, Discord or Firefox, and it’d stop displaying the custom cursor and go back to the system default.
And tonight of all nights, it pissed me off, so I decided to look for a workaround, since the common workaround of “reset your cursor settings” did not work for me.
And I even tried a different app, to no avail, but you know what finally got this to stop being an issue?
Making my cursor big.
I don’t. Know why.
The transcript ends here.

On the screen, you can see my custom Jungle Pocket cursor by pixloen. She is indeed larger than average. She’s the height of two lines of text?

Picture of my settings for this larger than average Jungle Pocket cursor. Cursor sizes on MacOS work on a scale with 7 marked points, though cursors can be any size in between those seven points, and she only works as intended at a 3/7.

@shadowsofvalentia.bsky.social Sep 22, 2026, 5:03 AM

I kind of regret this decision but I was contemplating it anyway. It’ll grow back before i know it

@shadowsofvalentia.bsky.social Sep 22, 2026, 5:03 AM

was pissing me off how my nails werent the same size bc id end up nibbling on one or two so i just bit them down to little nubs for the first time in months. Now we start the cycle anew

[ #twst ] went to the Twisted Sleepover event in Katy this weekend and had a phenomenal time!! Lovely lovely event with so many cool people.

If you happen to be one of the cosplayers I drew don't be afraid to drop a line!! either to chat or if you'd rather not be featured -w-

TWISTED SLEEPOVER - cupsleeve event - 9.19.26

w/ coral!! (baby's first cupsleeve)

leona is my fave, but I don't like lemon, so I got the Azul taro milk tea instead and I loved it <3

AZUL: "Another satisfied customer~!"

During the Heartslabyul and Savanaclaw raffle, Riddle (@joeiwanchan) marched around while Leona (latte_w_cream) held the speaker for his mic. Loved y'all as emcees!

RIDDLE: "ok, so we're rerolling AGAIN..."

To the Idia who won the octavinelle pillow: We loved your cosplay! We cheered really loud when you won.

Coral got me an adorable @knlbow charm <3

LUCI: "So nice to me...!"
CORAL: "yuh."

To the Vil who had huge heels and 'juicy' bedazzled on the back of their pants: ICON?? ICONIC??? I was on my way out when I saw you but I really wanted to tell you how killer your cosplay was. Oh my god.
Cannot overstate how tall this person was. Iconic!

To the Kalim and their friend with the killer outfit in front of us in line: I'M SO SORRY I DIDN'T SAY HI I have actually no excuse but you were both very stylish!!

To the Silver in the Buc-ees onesie: another person I saw as I was leaving. How does it feel being the funniest person alive

Coral lost our raffle tickets so [pasted into the book] is a substitute lol

END ID.
