Dolly Peel, fishwife and smuggler, South Shields, 1850. When her husband and son were press-ganged, she snuck on board ship and hid. Discovered, she was allowed to work as a nurse and stay with her family.

Such beautiful art - delicate and detailed. Hugely recommend a visit to see Kim's work. And I'd never miss a Border Readers evening 😍👍 Live storytelling at its best. What wonderfully talented people!

This took me a second.. 😅

Oh

Morning. Red bellies, Kent Ambler.

Good morning and welcome to marvellous marmalade Monday Begin this Monday by counting the things that make you smile, not the things that weigh you down. A grateful heart can make even an ordinary day feel a little brighter.

I've got 4 free spots to give away for this for low income writers. If this is you, please DM me and I'll get you signed up! Everyeone else, I'd be grateful if you could share so this gets to the right people. I'll even throw in a free spot for someone (picked out the hat) who does just that!

Really looking forward to this! 👍😍✍️📚👻

We had a great time, with the warmest of hospitality, the perfect way to start our borderlands tour!
