@finestructure.mastodon.social.ap.brid.gyI wonder how much of these attacks on Yandex data centres are timing. Surely it’s no surprise to Ukrainian intelligence what originates from there and how it might impact the final weeks before the midterm elections?

@finestructure.mastodon.social.ap.brid.gy@atpfm And I’ve just learned that @marcoarment has returned to Twitter.
That does it for me with the show.
I'll miss @siracusa’s thoughts.

@finestructure.mastodon.social.ap.brid.gy@joshua Well, that’s exactly why one shouldn’t accept the money in the first place. Or at least have strict separation between the money and the editorial side of the business. The Verge does a decent job of implementing this •and• stressing it on their podcast.
I understand that financial […]
@finestructure.mastodon.social.ap.brid.gyYou see, the thing about principles is that you need to hold to them not just when it's convenient. If you only reject LLM use when the results are bad but jump on board when the output suits you, you’re telling me that the externalities were never truly the issue. You just liked hearing […]
@finestructure.mastodon.social.ap.brid.gyThere's a German saying “wessen Brot ich fress, dessen Lied ich sing” - “whose bread I eat, their song I sing” and it comes as no surprise that the Claude sponsorship money is starting to shape the tunes. It may not be the dominant reason for @atpfm's turn towards LLM endorsement and perhaps […]

@rileytestut.mastodon.social.ap.brid.gyReposted by @finestructure.mastodon.social.ap.brid.gyThere’s definitely been a small (but noticeable) shift in how Apple’s treated us this past year; I’m hopeful it’s indeed a sign their approach to alternative marketplaces is evolving

@finestructure.mastodon.social.ap.brid.gyAnother evening spent roaming Azeroth. Meeting so many lovely people - even joined a guild, which I wasn’t planning to do. The party vibes are so different. Everyone is chill. Waiting 15-20 minutes at out of the way dungeons for everyone to arrive is common and no problem. I’m baffled. The […]

@helge.mastodon.social.ap.brid.gyReposted by @finestructure.mastodon.social.ap.brid.gyI was just wondering whether I could implement the Docker API using the Apple container stuff to replace Docker Mac. Turns out that exists already: gocker! https://github.com/lunguini/gocker
