In our new webinar, we want to take you on a journey through two decades of #conservation work dedicated to one of Europe's rarest cats.
We will reflect on the programme's achievements, share insights from the field, and look ahead to the future of Balkan lynx conservation.
❗ Despite the delight at having achieved this goal, there is still a need for action. The ban that has been adopted covers only lead shot, but not hunting ammunition in the form of lead bullets.
A major success for nature and #bird conservation in Europe: the European Parliament has paved the way for an EU-wide ban on lead shot 🙏

Our kind of feel-good walk. Birding is always a good idea 🪶🐦
By the way, World Migratory Bird Day is this Saturday. Is there a better day to give it a try?
MENC starts in January 2027 and applications for #mentees are now open 🎉
If you’re curious about where mentoring could take you, find out more and apply!
If you work in nature #conservation and would like to develop your skills, connect with others in the field and grow professionally and personally, MENC could be a great opportunity for you 💪
Are you looking for your next step in nature conservation? #mentoring
The Mentoring for Effective Nature Conservation programme (MENC) is now accepting applications for mentees.
You can still run until 9 October. Every kilometre helps. Start now:
We’ll use these donations to find and map Europe’s last primary and old-growth forests, so we can better understand where they are and help protect them. Of course, our euronatur team laced up their shoes and joined in too 🏃♀️
📣 If you’re going for a walk, run or hike anyway, there’s no easier way to donate #charity
Until 9 October, CIMmed will donate €5 to euronatur for every kilometre you walk, run or hike. Even your €5 registration fee goes directly to us.
A new report published by @euronatur.bsky.social and prepared by Eunomia, makes a compelling economic case for investing in #biodiversity.

MENC starts in January 2027 and applications for mentors are now open. Find out more and apply:
As a #mentor, you can:
🔹 Share your knowledge and inspire the next generation of conservationists
🔹 Strengthen your own leadership skills
🔹 Meet new people and expand your network within the #conservation community
🔹 Contribute to conservation efforts across Europe
Now, you could pass some of that experience on. The Mentoring for Effective Nature Conservation programme (MENC) is looking for mentors to support passionate people working to protect Europe’s natural heritage.
Calling all conservation professionals! #mentoring
Your experience could help shape the next generation of #conservation leaders: Over the years, you’ve probably learned a lot about nature conservation itself, navigating challenges, making decisions and finding your way.
Run for Europe's primary #forests 🏃
Until 9 October 2026, you can collect kilometres for us. For every kilometer you run, walk, hike or simply go for a stroll, the company CIMmed will donate €5 to EuroNatur. Even the €5 registration fee will be donated.
The EuroNatur Award 2026 goes to the Committee Against Bird Slaughter! 🏆 With this award, we want to recognise their Europe-wide commitment to the fight against illegal hunting and trapping of wild birds along Europe’s most important migration routes 🪶
