A clever premise and a strong start that slowly loses its grip. Three timelines that sit next to each other rather than connecting. Interesting enough to finish, too scattered to really get lost in.
@kitvaria.bsky.socialBook #74
Found me at the end of a long day with my attention span in tatters.
Easy fun and just perfectly catchy with it's humour.
Wonderfully daft and over far too soon.
@kitvaria.bsky.socialBook #73
A mysterious fixer, a fairy secretary and mermaids in the sewers.
Like wandering through a familiar town and noticing everything you walked past before.
The plot won't surprise you, but the world is a joy to explore.
@kitvaria.bsky.socialBook #72
Made for days when your head is stuffed with cotton wool. Quick, light, and most importantly, it has a dog.
Plus monsters that are everyday objects sprouting legs. Pleasant while it lasts and gone by morning.
@kitvaria.bsky.socialBook #71
The battle is already lost before page one. One soldier, one cranky horse and a wagon full of goodbyes.
Like sorting a jumbled pile of Lego while a good audiobook plays: slow, orderly and oddly satisfying.
@kitvaria.bsky.socialBook #70
A hot cup of tea for battered souls.
Therapy sessions felt like a balm, gentle and soothing, and the healing is never a straight line.
Come for the dragon, stay for the therapy, and leave a little kinder to yourself.
