In Hong Kong, the French firm Thales (via a subsidiary) won two direct Hong Kong Police Force contracts to build and maintain biometric identification systems. 5/6

In Inner Mongolia, Hikvision equipment made up over half the value of a 2023 "Sharp Eyes" camera contract, delivered through an unsanctioned distributor. 4/6
