It’s all of the groups. They are all using the catastrophic vote yes to prevent cuts messaging.
But again, you're missing my point: the campaign's main messaging should highlight the benefits to Santa Clara County (VTA service increases).

The campaign has raised millions of dollars, which is why I’m bringing this up. I hope some changes can be made in the next few weeks.
Just to be even more specific. There should be ads, mailers, in major publications highlighting the benefits of the RTM Santa Clara County. The campaign has a huge opportunity to give SCC voters something positive to vote for.

The campaign has a huge opportunity to give voters something to be excited about in Santa Clara County (increased VTA service), not just something to be afraid of losing. I think it’s a huge mistake to take advantage of that. (6/6)
There’s a huge difference between asking people to vote for a measure to prevent cuts and showing them how their vote could actually improve VTA service in their county. (5/6)
Even some messaging I’ve seen from local groups in Santa Clara County has been inaccurate. People who weren’t historically involved in SCC transit advocacy have been misinformed by the campaign itself. That is a HUGE problem. (4/6)
I’m not talking about individual advocates or orgs doing their own outreach. I’m talking about the campaign’s responsibility to clearly communicate the benefits of the RTM. Many SCC residents still believe it won’t deliver real improvements beyond preventing cuts. (3/6)
It should be (and should have always been) a central part of the campaign’s messaging, including ads, mailers, op-eds, and other materials reaching hundreds of thousands of voters. (2/6)
I think you’re missing my point. Santa Clara County has the most voters of any county in the RM. Highlighting the potential for significant service improvements here shouldn’t be limited to geographically targeted phone banking or outreach. (1/6)
The point of the original posts was to change the messaging going out to hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of potential voters to highlight that a yes vote could significantly improve service.
The messaging is still the same. You can do a lot better.
Full recipe (highly recommend, I came up with it lol)

It’s after midnight, but I finally made it to Washington 🙌
~90% of VTA service is bus service. ~82% of VTA ridership is bus ridership. The bus is the main and most-used service by a long shot.
