For the past 50 years, the Hyde Amendment has banned the use of federal funds for abortion care. Now is the time to end Hyde and let decisions be made by patients and providers, not politicians.

I was honored to receive the Lifetime Reproductive Freedom Champion Award from @reproductivefreedomforall.org.

Anti-choice extremists would love it if we stopped fighting—if we just let them ban abortion and strip away health care from millions.

But we will never give them that satisfaction.

I toured the Atlanta Birth Center, fighting maternal & infant mortality in the #FightingFifth. Their mama- and baby-centered care is vital.

As they pause services in October to find a more affordable location, we must invest in operations like this and protect vital community resources.
