Bought Halloween The Game because I’m a huge fan of the movie series and, my God, I’ve never been so disappointed by a video game story mode.
I’m gonna go process that with my good friend Michelob.
2 minutes and 21 seconds talking about Saturday's preseason game between the Sixers and Celtics, including some good VJ Edgecombe stuff and why I'm concerned about Justin Edwards:
The Sixers lost by 38. I will make a video about a preseason game in which the Sixers sat 3 starters. Because I am unwell.
Well clearly. You should still protect your regular rotation guys. There is no value-add in crushing the opponent's deep bench guys with your starters.
I know Mazzulla is his own brand of competitor but what exactly are the Celtics getting out of leaving their rotation players in this long in a 30-point preseason game? Is picking the pocket of an Exhibit 10 guy some sort of catharsis for that first-round series?
The Sixers shot 6-25 from 3 in the first half and committed 13 turnovers. They committed 18 fouls to Boston's 9. That about sums up what was a very preseason first half.
The Flyers are blushing at how bad the Sixers' offense is right now.
Yeah, it's preseason, but it feels like we're seeing Justin Edwards show the same exact stuff he showed his first 2 years. Not containing his matchup on defense, some record-scratch decisions on offense. Not great.

5 assists in 9 minutes for LeBron last night. Only 1 is a programmed play. The rest are just feel and reading the floor. Nice variety.
What immediately stood out from LeBron James' Sixers debut?
@austinkrell.bsky.social has that and some Joel Embiid thoughts on his latest video report:
These are the important questions.
Invaluable skill to be able to read the gaps on the floor and just cut into open spaces. Relieves the defensive pressure high and activates both sides of the floor. Dean Wade is seeing that often and playing the release value guy.
LeBron attempted 0 shots in the first quarter, which I feel is meaningful as we talk about the "there's only one ball" concern. Hard to raise frustrations about your share of touches when that guy isn't registering an FGA.
Starting for your Philadelphia 76ers: Tyrese Maxey VJ Edgecombe Jaylen Brown LeBron James Joel Embiid That is quite a thing to type out.
