i love I Love Boosters. if this score would’ve dropped when i was a high school sousaphone player, i think i would have been insufferable
shoutout to the teen girl in the #tiff sizzle reel before the movies who says “i love brutal nihilism.” when you really think about it, is there anything that speaks to teen girls more than brutal nihilism
ANCESTORS is haunting. like bly manor says, ghost stories and love stories are one in the same
MASC was a random selection to fill in a gap in my schedule and boy was it something special. feel very thankful to have seen this one. beautifully simple questions about identity and how hard it is to find ourselves
saw IDDA earlier today. friends with a fraught but loving relationship trying to figure it out is one of my favorite genres
forgot to add that i caught the midnight madness screening of THE FACE OF HORROR last night. jonah hauer-king was having the time of his life
absolutely adored STUFFED, but adored doesn’t feel like the right adjective. i was swept up in its gothic romance and old school musical cinematic sensations. jodie comer is heartbreakingly good. weirdo musicals forever
FJORD was up first this afternoon. this one is staggering. renate and sebastian are really profound forces in this. unfortunately i don’t feel like people are thoughtfully engaging with media enough for this to go well!!!
hello from toronto! i’m covering TIFF for the next few days. stay tuned as i go insane and watch a ton of movies
how my dog looks at me after I tell her I’m pretty sure she’s already had her dinner
