You've perfectly highlighted a huge issue I had, I wanted to collect the lore and learn so bad but as the players got worse and the economy became more unbalanced it just slowly became unattainable

Then season 2 had all the same problems with a rly fucky economy and lower player count

Like whether it was toxic/verbally abusive teammates, slurs in voice chat, having stacked players camp low loot quality areas or objectives, it felt like everyone there was so desperate to be punching down on someone, just a horribly toxic experience in-game

I think marathon is the purest example I've had of a game that excited and engaged me in literally every positive way but had a player-to-player experience so bad it genuinely ruined any of the time I spent playing it.

GOOD.
