The new Commanders stadium needs to be served by hardcore bus prioritization and world-class walkability and bikeability if DC wants a chance at avoiding a traffic nightmare every Sunday.
I stand by my idea to build a VRE/MARC platform along the tracks just west of the Anacostia RR bridge until some rail nerd explains to me why it won’t work. Run trains during stadium events. Walk is shorter than Morgan Ave to FedEx field.

D.C. and the Commanders have unveiled renderings of what two parking decks that would fit 6,000 cars would look like. One is currently planned north of the stadium between Kingman Park and what would be recreation fields, the other to the southeast amidst residential buildings.
