Oh interesting I’ll have a read

Without a sustainable way for people to be paid to generate unique, human-written, valuable content, the whole content ecosystem falls apart. Will this work? www.seroundtable.com/google-al-co...

This raises many, many more questions than it does answers for me. How do you calculate the worth of being part of an answer? Is this worth enough for a publisher? How do you stop these mechanics from being manipulated by scrapers? The list goes on. 🧵 2/3

Here is another good glimpse of a future compensation model for AI. Paying publishers for using their content. For everyone who thinks Publishers are facing an existential crisis, this may suggest a potential alternate future. 🧵 1/3

Good SEO/GEO is understanding search sources and whether you’re eligible to appear in them - I think it is a fast-growing discipline and hugely important to ensuring you’re retrievable when it matters peec.ai/blog/chatgpt...

Peec has done great work exposing more of this processing and helping shed light on the sources that could really play a part in generating AI answers. 🧵 2/3

At the heart of understanding AI search is understanding where the data is coming from. With ChatGPT, we’d suspected it was Google and Bing. But that has become MUCH more complex recently. 🧵 1/3

Yep, loads of places you can automate for sure- but understanding the problem/solution isn’t where I’d start

@chris-green.netOct 6, 2026, 5:28 AM

Bit of both. But also it maintains comprehension for delivering and implementing changes

I need some help testing this extension - it’s totally free, minus whatever API costs you incur IF you plug in your own APIs - so it’d be great to hear your experiences/errors/suggestions chrisgreenseo.substack.com/p/introducin...

I’m not trying to replace SEO audit tools or change your existing workflow, just provide a set of tools that have a relatively light footprint, but will be genuinely useful where it’s needed. 🧵 3/4

@chris-green.netOct 5, 2026, 7:30 PM

Using Gemini Nano (that ships in Chrome) or OpenAI or Gemini keys when you want to do some heavy lifting, this extension builds on some already great use cases for a Chrome-based auditor. 🧵 2/4

@chris-green.netOct 5, 2026, 7:30 PM

What if an SEO extension could harness AI to help you run a better audit without delegating the entire thing to an Agent? I wanted to see how doable this is. 🧵 1/4

🎤 Search is moving from a competition between webpages to a competition between information sources. @chris-green.net of Torque Partnership shows why SEOs must master feeds, APIs and structured data. “SEOs, it’s time to become masters of data feeds.” #SearchNStuffAntalya

AI can render content in a browser - it’s pretty good at doing it now. It can also read text in an image and can interact with JavaScript-rendered content. Does that mean AI Chatbots or other search surfaces will do this every time? That’s an assumption that’ll create risks! 🧵 1/2

@chris-green.netSep 29, 2026, 8:01 PM

The lack of GSC/BWT for AI search specifically feels quite acute right now, but a cheap (free) probe - even if it isn’t perfect - can help you understand/troubleshoot what issues are stopping your content from being returned by AI search tools. chrisgreenseo.substack.com/p/checking-a...

ICYMI - if you want an approach (and tool) to help you understand if your pages are likely part of AI retrieval, then this could be quite useful! 🧵 1/2

@chris-green.netSep 24, 2026, 7:02 PM

Hopefully you never need this tool, but if you’re working on a migration and worry people won’t prioritise or budget correctly, this (or an approach like it) could be well worth your time! migrationrisk.com

@chris-green.netSep 24, 2026, 7:02 PM

Sometimes someone builds a tool I wish existed a long time ago - this time it is Mersudin who has stepped forward. Migration Risk uses your domain and GSC account data to profile the most important pages on your site and the pages that pose the greatest risk if not migrated correctly. 🧵 1/2
