Shoutout the hardline anti-ai's in our life too. Y'all are like cultural preservers. Like people need reminders that they could write/draw/code before AI wrote for them. Hold the laziness accountable... People out here outsourcing their humanity.... Idk morning yap because i'm procrastinating <3.

To be clear, I don't know what's happening in VRchat but I sure hope they're fighting internally. I've heard stories of other workplaces where AI policy is stalled and run around in circles because of the executive team, even when the rest of staff is in alignment. However way, the silence is loud.

It's greed, because executives have wet dreams of replacing all of us, including the creatives. Power seeking people get power, and they're afraid of losing it, afraid that any hard line stance will punish them in the future. It comes from a place of insecurity and I hate it.

How I see it, it's greed. The ghibli filter should've never been made, brazen non consensual stealing of IP. It can only make a melody or draw the anime girl because it stole from us. And it can't be unstolen. Frontier models could guardrail this!! Of course they won't, but..

I'm very distrustful of how AI is being made -- but ethically, outside of the sin of data centers, I don't mind if it makes art more accessible. Create a new photoshop, generate the next brush, just don't make lines on the canvas. Make an new DAW, don't generate melodies.
