Sometimes I feel guilty for rarely running proper dungeons for my D&D players, and then we do yet another session that is basically all one encounter and I remember that actually it’s probably for the best.
I'm pleased to report that one character rolled straight into a frozen lake, one is currently trapped in a cave with the corpses of two frost giants by mysterious runes, and one has been swallowed by a remorhaz after firing a flock of abyssal chickens down its gullet. Perfect, absolutely […]
My D&D group is getting together today for the first time in… maybe two months?… and I’m currently planning how to drop the players right back into some action to get things going, because we had just ended a big encounter with a nice rest. Currently I’m thinking they get blasted from a jungle […]
TFW an extremely quiet, serious coworker uses a cute, silly emoji out of nowhere and you find yourself wondering if you’ve had the wrong read on them for the entire time you’ve known them.
@harris I really think at this point the issue is just that people are so fucking sick of the big tech companies telling them what to do, and regardless of what *trustworthy* organizations say—ignoring 1Password for the moment—the big companies are all engaged in trying to force people to use […]
I’m torn on the Magician’s Nephew trailer. On the one hand, it looks like it could be a very fun movie. On the other, it looks like it will absolutely annihilate some of my earliest visual imaginings, and I’m not enthusiastic about letting those go.
This dog in Baldur’s Gate 3 is me, except when someone tells me that they appreciate my insightfulness or thoughtfulness. At least I know what my buttons are, I guess. 😅
This one is lazier and lower-quality than I’d like. Also I don’t want to talk about the orientation and placement of the words. I’ll do better tomorrow.
11 - Rescue.
I’m not sure "make a magic-lookin’ circle" really aligns with the intent of Inktober, but it’s what I felt like doing today so ✌️.
10 - Mystical.
Anyone who uses a "decision model" for something that could be decided by a human being deserves to be hanged, change my mind.
And another. Not sure if this one’s gonna land for anybody. This may be one of the conceptual ones I mentioned. 😅
9 - Ram.
Another belated entry for #inktober2026:
8 - Stinky. #Inktober
Just watched the first three episodes of Avatar: Seven Havens, and by the lion turtles it’s good to have new Avatar episodes coming out again. 😭
I liked the first season of Lanterns. Didn’t think I would, but I did.
I don’t make any promises, but I hope to be back to something a bit higher-effort tomorrow. 😩
And because I’m very tired today, all I have for #inktober2026 today is a nerdy minimalist visual pun.
Panic. #Inktober
Belated day 6 of #inktober2026. Running a day behind, feeling very tired, and I truly had no ideas in my head that weren’t Shrek.
All the same: ogre.
RIP Margaret Hamilton. Truly an icon.
