First came the “kratom” headlines. Then came the facts.

The Ole Miss cases reportedly involved Pseudo-DHM products, not traditional kratom leaf. Toxicology hasn’t established the cause of death yet.

And these products were already prohibited by local and federal law.

Something I’ve been working on.

Prohibition just doesn’t work. We keep repeating the same cycle: ban it first, criminalize people, create a black market, and then act surprised when the consequences are worse than the problem we were trying to solve.
