First in a new series I'm calling “What if… Rus did the cover?” First up, I wanted to highlight Rob Liefeld's Badrock and his iconic catch-phrase. Art and design by me. This is not an official cover. Be sure to check out the hella fun BADROCK comic series with art by Seth Damoose (lettered by me)!

seven20, my birthday — ten13, the day I almost died, after breaking my neck and drowning in a surfing accident at 20 yrs old. This photo is just a screenshot of Daytona Beach from Google Maps that I messed with in Photoshop. The kerning in this image bugs me, but I'm too lazy to fix it. 🙂

What month is not for you?

I love that town!

Call me crazy, but I'd still like to live in NYC before I die. And Chicago. I wouldn't mind living in Denver or San Antonio again either. Chicago's pretty great... except for the winter cold.

And that has made all the difference! 😀 Love ya, Jim!

Happy Indigenous People's Day!

I only worked at Wizard for 3 yrs, ‘98 - 2001, but I’m thinking about how big of an impact those 3 yrs and friendships have had on my life. Accepting that job offer for less $ than I deserved, 11 hrs from the any family, moving from Tampa to NY knowing no one… was a good decision after all.

Really nice work!

A favorite moment from a favorite movie? 'The Last Starfighter'...

ALL THE GODZILLA(S)!!!

Really digging this new NONPOINT album. Hard to believe their debut was 25 years ago.

One of the worst truths you have to reconcile with as an adult is that most of history’s monsters die cozy and old in their beds.

I’ve always loved this version of the Warner Brothers logo which was designed by Saul Bass. Sad to see the studio sucked up by a big conglomerate.

Yeah, this was a great logo. Love me some Saul Bass design.

This is the whole ballgame. It’s ugly, mindless theft.
