This 1st edition will not be an isolated act but hopefully the beginning of a new transnational and revolutionary tradition. We intend for Mujawara month to be an annual event. Plans are under way for the 2nd edition, due to take place in June 2027, which will feature a host of new developments 💪

The money raised through the different events around the globe will go towards supporting Syrian and Sudanese revolutionaries. New places for Mujawara, new territorial anchors for the network and an increased capacity to resist the ongoing storm 💨

Beyond strengthening our capacity to coordinate, creating and reinforcing existing connections, learning about each other’s struggles and discussing what can be done together, Mujawara was an opportunity to practice concrete solidarity 🪢

A movement that is anchored in diverse territories and fueled by the intersections of our struggles. A movement that has the capacity to coordinate across languages and timezones, between diasporas and groups at home, exiled communities and long-standing local struggles 🫀

Mujawara allowed us to come together from those spaces we inhabit, knowing that we are joining an international movement in the making 💫

From China to Syria, actions and gatherings were organised under the radar. From Madagascar to France, beautiful items were created to amplify the resonance of Mujawara beyond the month of June. From Scotland to Chile, the discussions organised opened the space to imagine future mobilisations ✊

From Bangalore to Barcelona, from Kyiv to Johannesburg, from Kanaky to Chiapas, from Bogota to Montréal, spaces, groups and organisations have warmly answered our call to weave a revolutionary neighbouring beyond borders. We would like to thank everyone who took part in this global month of action 💥

Last June, our month of Mujawara mobilised thousands around the world. We are extremely touched by the echo it has created. Almost 100 events in more than 80 geographies, across at least 25 countries and all 5 continents ❤️‍🔥

“ @thepeopleswant.bsky.social , a global committee of organizers and revolutionaries, examine what makes an uprising succcessful and argue that the only answer is a new politics of unity based in internationalism”.
