V true. Men who glaringly lacked a rounded humanities education, or to just have once picked up Geertz. Though to be fair maybe it's possible to forget the institutional force it was pushing against, even only twenty years ago.

I think it covers you for the week tbh

I'm actually fascinated by the scansion of the tech-dude's original post. I suspect it of being a poem. (As well as a joke.)

I wrote a little poem

Oh this can just fuck off

An AI-'written' complete copy of my own book is now on Amazon; same title, more-or-less the same blurb, and exactly the same impetus.

Reviewers of Amazon, I urge you to absolutely dive-bomb this plagiaristic piece of shit: www.amazon.co.uk/FORGOTTEN-VI...

A hollow copy of my book with a shit AI-generated cover

It's quite funny that the AI scam industry have decided the biggest vainest most gullible marks are obviously novelists

You need my friend's app. You scan your bookshelves with your phone then you can search by title.

This is such a good idea! More festivals should do it for their featured authors.

What AI is very good at is simulating the process of being a commissioner; you get to make arbitrary changes, and the creatives have to go away and make it work, and then you get to take all the credit. So maybe TV commissioners could be replaced by AI.

We are pushing authors into a culture of AI secrecy, writes author and editor Madeleine F White. 👇

I see. the same aversion to syntactical complexity. It especially affects/afflicts initial engagement with classics – where, it seems to me, the opening pages often have the densest syntax, before the style relaxes and the dialogue gets going. Something is afoot.

well said

Every time this happens – the accusation, the doubt – it erodes trust in every human author. The industry needs to get a grip. Stop using algorithmic analysis / Pangram. Stop relying on 'trust'.

Here we go again. Anothet author accused of using Ai after an idiot ran his novel through Pangram without his consent. So fed up of this.
