Thanks, Patchen! I'm a big fan of yours, ever since "the impossible man"

Thank you so much – and I agree, Rachel was a magnificently sensitive dance partner – I felt like we could go anywhere together!

This was one of the most beautiful podcast episodes I have ever listened to. Thank you @stevenstrogatz.com for sharing your thoughts on this very timely topic. Rachel Abrams did such a good job with this interview.

Thanks a lot, Brian!

I spoke with The Daily about what’s happening to mathematics in the age of AI—and what it feels like to be a mathematician right now.

The conversation went places I hadn’t expected.

Thank you to Rachel Abrams, Annie Minoff, and their team.

Thanks so much. I just listened to it myself, and I'm struggling to get off the couch.

Really lovely conversation with @stevenstrogatz.com on The Daily today about AI, math, and the point of it all that you should absolutely find time to listen to - it takes a very different path than I would have expected and was quite beautiful

The beauty and the heartbreak of this conversation with @stevenstrogatz.com articulates so much of my worry, my anger, my despair about #AI. Joy, satisfaction, purpose is in learning, seeking, collaborating. The human connections. The process. open.spotify.com/episode/31vo...

Bring some math into your holiday weekend and learn about some ridiculous, fascinating, and absolutely terrible ways to hang a picture.

BIG MATH received this very kind pre-publication review in Kirkus:

Six weeks till launch! Can't wait -- feeling jumpy...

A very positive review of BIG MATH, a new book by Steven Strogatz and Alex Townsend. The review appears in Kirkus Reviews.

Beautiful article about math and AI by Dan Rockmore. The connection to art and photography via Walter Benjamin was very fresh -- definitely worth reading, even if you're tired of reading about math and AI.

I had the honor of writing about Fields medalist Yu Deng for
@TIME Magazine. The tricky part was to try to convey the essence of his brilliant work honestly, yet in terms the public might appreciate.

A photo of Fields medalist Yu Deng, and a brief explanation of how his mathematical work helps bridge the gulf between the micro and the macro descriptions of air and other gases.
