Currently the LA Sheriff’s deparment is refusing to name or even ask the names of deputy gangs inside the dept while investigating them. Today’s motion would be a step for transparency around the issue that has plagued the department for decades.

I’m here outside of the LA Co Board of Supervisors mtg where a motion on deputy gangs is being heard. If passed, the motion directs LA Sheriff Robert Luna to work w/ the Civilian Oversight Commission, Inspector General & County Counsel to identify & name deputy gangs inside LASD
