David was a force to be reckoned with, inspiring us with his post-capitalist ideals & unwavering belief in what democracy could become.

Throughout his career as an activist, movement builder, and People’s Attorney, David worked across the movement, from The Democracy Collaborative, where he served as special advisor and fellow, to the Green Party, where he ran for president in 2004, to the U.S. Solidarity Economy Network.

David gave over 30 years to social justice and the fight for democracy. He was more than a core part of this Alliance: our Onboarding Director, North Coast Regional Rep, and comrade since 2019. His fingerprints are on so much of what we’ve built. (2)

We’re heartbroken to share that David Cobb passed away on Labor Day. His heart gave way during his usual beach walk, one of his favorite ways to clear his head and take in the world he fought so hard for. (1)
