@sarahbecan.bsky.socialVery cool!! Bottle gourds are Lagenaria, which in the same family as Cucurbita (our new world punkins and squashes) but a different genus and tribe. I knew Lagenaria were native to Africa, but I didn’t realize they were growing in the americas so early!
