@geniusbastard.bsky.socialReposted by @milestonefilms.bsky.socialReminder: I am moderating a Q&A with the great Charles Burnett tomorrow at the Aero Theater after a screening of the newly restored MY BROTHER’S WEDDING. www.americancinematheque.com/now-showing/...
@milestonefilms.bsky.socialHow has Charles Burnett’s “My Brother’s Wedding” transformed with the new 4K restoration? We will let the video speak for itself.
Supervised by the director himself, the 4K restoration is playing across the country now: bit.ly/MBWshowtimes
@moviejawn.comReposted by @milestonefilms.bsky.socialMJ's @gennyradosti.bsky.social writes that THE BUSINESS OF FANCYDANCING is "a vital entry in early digital filmmaking, showing a Native and queer perspective through a deeply flawed lead character."

@milestonefilms.bsky.socialWe don't know of any. However, Missing Movies was founded to help filmmakers recover their rights, find their materials, and point them toward distribution.

@kcfennessy.bsky.socialReposted by @milestonefilms.bsky.socialI haven't yet seen the new 4K restoration, but here's what I wrote about My Brother's Wedding upon @milestonefilms.bsky.social's 2007 release. It played theaters, then appeared on video with Killer of Sheep. A smaller film, yet deserving of a standalone presentation.
