Has it ever been stated anywhere what Perkins & Pogue's rejected pitch for PSYCHO IV was? I am insanely curious about what they'd conjured up as a possible story for it.

Remaking Fulci's THE BEYOND is a tall order. If you can find a director with a unique vision willing to take the same story and make it their own, you could end up with something worthwhile. The remakes of SUSPIRIA and MANIAC come to mind. Just don't get someone who wants to make a half-assed copy.

A major pet peeve mine? Working a day. Then having a day off. Then working a day. And then having another day off. I can never actually relax under these circumstances. By the time I actually wind down on the day off, I start winding back up for work the next day. I get no real rest. It's the worst.

AI films. Snuff films. Propaganda films. Just about anything else is fine though. Love what you love.

They may well do it around then and let Villeneuve field some questions about it in the Dune 3 PR circuit. Even producer Amy Pascal herself has been saying to expect an announcement by the end of the year, if all goes well.

Don't feel too bad, Christopher Abbott. The stars of AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY still haven't seen a script yet either and it wrapped production over a year ago.

Neagley, Ballard, Scarpetta...

I *do* think the new actor will probably be announced by year's end. Just not on James Bond Day. Amazon is going to want that announcement to come all on its own, instead of on an "expected" media day where it will also drown out all of their Bond merch/advertising partners' announcements.

I hope not, but I also wouldn't be all that shocked if it was simply titled "BOND" or "007".

I have little doubt that we'll get something in regards to FIRST LIGHT. Probably not a sequel announcement, but maybe some DLC news. And they'll definitely push Higson's KING ZERO and the other recent Bond-related books that IFP has been publishing. Maybe some comics news too, perhaps.

Maybe, if we're lucky, we can get some 4K UHD release news about the Moore, Lazenby, Dalton, and/or Brosnan films. But a casting announcement for the new Bond actor? A title for BOND 26? A release date for it? Nah. Not gonna happen. Not yet.

I feel like anyone who is expecting Amazon MGM to announce the new Bond actor on James Bond Day tomorrow is just setting themselves up for major disappointment. I really wouldn't expect much more than some merchandise announcements, as well as further promotion of 007: FIRST LIGHT and KING ZERO.

If they couldn't, The Asylum and their ilk wouldn't still be a thing.

That's part of what surprised me about the upcoming Shout release of VICE. It actually has all three cuts on it.

I tease her about it a lot. "Not The Mummy, School Ties, Airheads, Looney Tunes, Bedazzled, or even Encino Man? But Monkeybone?!?"
