Our new paper is out @jcellsci.bsky.social 🧬✨ doi.org/10.1242/jcs.... @ynagata.bsky.social et al combined single-nucleosome imaging + Fucci probes. H2B-Halo motion stays nearly constant from G1 to G2. H3.3-Halo euchromatin nucleosomes are more mobile, but their motion also stays nearly constant.

1/ Our paper, “Enhancer binding kinetics explain transcription factor hub formation,” is now published! Here we set out to understand why transcription factors form bright clusters or “hubs” in the nucleus, and whether those hubs actually control gene activity.

Our paper on euchromatin and cohesin is now published!!🙌 Euchromatin forms condensed domains, and cohesin constrains their local mixing. This organization maintains transcriptional insulation. This work was truly a team effort, and I’m grateful to everyone who contributed to it.

Is euchromatin really “open”? 🧬 Using super-resolution imaging🔬 our new study @natgenet.nature.com reveals: Euchromatin forms condensed domains in live cells. Cohesin constrains them and prevents domain mixing for proper transcriptional insulation🚧 🔗
