@fikarecordings.comOut next Friday: “Looking for Love” from Arborist.
fikarecordings.bandcamp.com/album/lookin...
Arborist’s fourth album of exquisitely inventive Americana, places us firmly in his hometown of Belfast, allowing it to act as a microcosm of the wider-world, with all its foibles and charms.
@theleaflibrary.bsky.socialReposted by @fikarecordings.com"Every Leaf Library release feels like an exploration of pop music’s possibilities, and each one seems to bring us closer to the realisation that those possibilities are endless." Some wonderful words from Thomas Blake here on our new compilation.
@jonathanbrennanart.bsky.socialReposted by @fikarecordings.comI was delighted to be commissioned by Arborist to make artwork for the 4th album ‘Looking for Love’. Inspired by Airfix kits and the writings of Ciaran Carson, and primarily Mark's lyrics. Album out this month. Find out more: jonathanbrennanart.com/artwork-for-...

@fikarecordings.comI doubt it - most haven’t replied when I’ve asked why they’re using AI and not their soul to sell their music, ha. Just hope that the one or two gems that come by way from time to time don’t get missed under the torrent of BS.
@fikarecordings.comNeedless to say, the AI generated emails from videographers, illustrators, designers, photographers, publicists, engineers etc will be deleted and your email with be marked as spam. Come on, seriously?
@fikarecordings.comInundated with demos from bands. Real bands, with real music they want us to release. Real music they’ve (presumably) taken care in creating. And nearly every single one sends an AI generated email pitching to us. If you don’t care enough, why should I care enough to listen? Delete.

Not an ode to the great man, but rather a sordid tale of a more desperate one.
The album is out Oct 16.

@fikarecordings.comAdam originally thought the album was going to be slower and more melancholic overall, but these songs ended up getting kicked out of the way by more upbeat numbers like Lost In The Daylight and Kites on the finished record. These songs are for the superfans.
