On 6 October 2026, at the fifth hearing of cartoonist Doğan Pehlevan, tried for ‘insulting the president’ over X posts he denies writing, the court gave him an 11-month, 20-day suspended sentence (Art. 299), though his lawyers say ownership is unproven.
