As WV lawyers fight against RFK Jr. ally Aaron Siri, Sec Kennedy promises to "be helpful" to legal allies aiming to take down vaccination laws. Interviews w/ over 70 sources/internal HHS emails, memos, texts, meeting records. @jakescottmd.bsky.social @pauloffit.bsky.social @vinguptamd.bsky.social /2
EXCLUSIVE @rollingstone.com months-long reporting project: On The Front Lines of the Vaccine Wars. Inside a West Virginia courtroom battle, one of US' most effective vaccine laws hangs in balance: “Potentially as earth shaking as reversal of Roe [v. Wade].” www.rollingstone.com/politics/pol... /1
Important reporting from @katherineeban.bsky.social in @rollingstone.com on Aaron Siri’s efforts to undermine childhood vaccination & his extraordinary influence inside HHS.
I spoke w/ her about how he misrepresents the clinical trial evidence. Well worth reading

CIDRAP Op-Ed: One HPV vaccine dose may be enough, but how we get to that answer matters
A decision on whether to recommend just 1 dose needs to rest on solid evidence.

My new @cidrap.bsky.social piece:
One HPV vaccine dose may be enough, but how we get to that answer matters.
The evidence for one dose is strong in girls; uncertainties remain, especially in boys. The biggest problem is still the kids who never get a 1st dose.
CIDRAP Op-Ed: HHS is asking what to call vaccine recommendations.

CIDRAP Op-Ed: HHS is asking what to call vaccine recommendations. You have 4 days to weigh in.
The people with the most to say, the pediatricians, pharmacists, & obstetric nurses, are the ones least likely to know they can say it.

HHSGov is taking public comments on how it labels childhood vaccine recommendations. It closes Sunday. Most of the people with something to say don't know they can.
I wrote about it for @cidrap.bsky.social. Please share.
Pennsylvania reported two measles deaths. RFK Jr. called them possibly fabricated. CDC pulled them from the count. I wrote for @cidrap.bsky.social on why “died with, not from” doesn’t work for measles.

Exclusive: RFK Jr lied in Senate confirmation hearings, newly revealed documents indicate. Stellar reporting by @bymichellersmith.com based on documents obtained by @theguardian.com and @apnews.com www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...
Lots of lies being spread by RFK Jr about the MMR vaccine, even as the US struggles to contain the worst measles outbreak in decades.
I go into depth about MMR myths in this @cidrap.bsky.social piece. www.cidrap.umn.edu/measles/cidr...
Monday’s vaccine executive order rests on one document, an HHS assessment saying America should vaccinate like Denmark. I wrote in December about why that fails. Copying Denmark’s endpoint while ignoring what makes it work strips protections kids need. open.substack.com/pub/jakescot...

Covid vaccines and miscarriage has been studied repeatedly, at national scale. Here's that evidence, one study per post. The CDC's came first: vaccinated women miscarried at the same rate as everyone else, about 1 in 8. NEJM, Sept 2021.

1/ Trump's executive order on childhood vaccines came Monday. Since ACIP was created in 1964, every change to that schedule has come from the same process: evidence review, risk-benefit analysis, public votes, revision when safety monitoring caught a problem. This one came from the Oval Office.
The @fda.gov withdrew its scientists’ COVID and shingles vaccine studies from publication last fall.
My new @cidrap.bsky.social piece walks through what those studies actually found, and why their suppression matters.
Three weeks ago I explained in @statnews.com why adopting Denmark’s vaccine schedule would leave American children unprotected. Today HHS did it anyway.

“Delaying the first hepatitis B vaccine dose beyond the newborn period introduces risks that have lifelong detrimental consequences and no measurable health benefit.”
Important and timely piece by an amazing team - Mike Abers, Angela Ulrich, & Rochelle Walensky. 👏👏
The corrupted CDC website refers to a Danish study (Andersson et al) and "a statistically significant 67% increased risk of Asperger's syndrome per 1 mg increase in aluminum exposure among children born between 2007 and 2018 (Supplement Figure 4)." It's worth putting this into context. Short 🧵
