Luigi starred in the role of titular character. The film became a cult hit, appreciated for its modern spin on the original text and cutting edge special effects. Critics of its time deemed it to be a heavyhanded and confusing allegory.

Vito's Media Artifacts (2/5): 1991 - VITO VITAL When Eloisa Moriero’s works hit the public domain, filmmaker Luigi Del Piero drafted a screenplay based on the original text. Small-time publisher Triangolo Rosa picked up the film for release in his native language. (Video ⬇️)

A lineless digital render styled after a film poster. The title is VITO VITAL in slick white text. The subtitle reads "Il tempo stringe." A pink lizard and a little grey robot stand in the foreground. The lizard is hunky and muscular, wearing a black latex short-sleeved jumpsuit with his big chest spreading wide his suit's pink vest. The lizard clenches his fists. The lizard glares up at a big badger head wearing a helmet and visor with a digital screen on it. The badger's tongue lolls out, showing his teeth, and he appears ready to grab the lizard. Portraits of a wolverine and flamingo are superimposed within his grasp. The wolverine looks at the badger with disdain, while the flamingo stares away disinterested. The scene is set atop a painting a nebula. Credits: Written and produced by Luigi Del Piero. Produced by Triangolo Rosa Studios and Duke Badger Entertainment. Starring Luigi Del Piero, Bonifacio Ruffilo, Adriana Bosocuro, Silvestre Sicari, Tommaso Coscia, and Isabella Moriero. Published by Stefano Lupi. Music by Valentin Ceka.

Vito's Media Artifacts (1/5): 1931 - Pulp Era Sci FI Vito Vital from his debut short story, written by Eloisa Moriero (under a masculine pseudonym before her rise to fame) in volume 4, issue 6 of the pulp magazine, Strange Space Stories. (Video ⬇️)

A lineless digital render in an retro pulp magazine style of a lizard and badger in tight spacesuits with fishbowl helmets. The slim lizard's green and purple suit shines. He's pink with dark red fins atop his head. He grimaces and aims his laser blaster at the viewer, resting the other arm against his hip. The fat badger wears a teal and yellow suit with a long cape. He grits his teeth and beholds someone out of frame with derision. The two stand in a desert planet scene. Tall spindly orange mountains extend into the distance. Far behind the lizard and badger stands an imposingly tall black tower against the yellow-blue sky over the horizon.
