We're very sad to hear of the death of Peter May, he was a wonderful writer and a generous and gracious presence at the festival over the years. Here he is, at the most recent of six appearances in 2024 - Sending love to Janice and the rest of his family. He will be missed.

One of our favourite authors, Chris Carter, couldn't make the festival this year but fortunately our pals at Aye Write in Glasgow have bagged an event with him in October! Tickets here: www.glasgowlife.org.uk/event/1/chri...

Had a brilliant time @bloodyscotland.bsky.social but it's amazing how many people I know are there yet I never see them. (Perhaps they see me first, and scuttle away in the opposite direction?)

As usual I forgot to take pics at @bloodyscotland.bsky.social this year… partly because I was having too much of a good time, especially at the karaoke 🤘😉 I did remember to get a couple from the sold-out Can You Solve the Murder? event on Friday, though. Thanks to everyone who came along!

The final day of Bloody Scotland was the perfect end to the festival. We finished the day with a very special event where our brilliant 2026 Guest Programmer Denise Mina officially handed over the reins to our 2027 Guest Programmer, Val McDermid! Images by Paul Reich
