Migweek day 2
A silent Bonelli’s Warbler the day’s highlight, Sabine’s Gull on the seawatch, 2000 Redwings over, 8 Yellow-browed Warbler, 3 Ring Ouzel, Lapland Bunting and 2 Short-eared Owl with another and a Firecrest at RSPB Bempton.

Todays Bonelli's Warbler @flamboroughbird.bsky.social bright sunlight not helping trying to assess the subtleties of plumage tones/colour. Unfortunately it remained silent and could not be assigned definitively to either species, Western or Eastern. @rarebirder.bsky.social @birdguides.bsky.social

Migweek update Tomorrows events Ringing is taking place at the living seas centre, South Landing 8am-12pm. The guided walks for those booked on them are going ahead, 10am at the lighthouse. Vismigging is taking place, location to be confirmed in the morning.

Migweek day 1 Seawatching drew Cory’s Shearwater, 2 Long-tailed Skua and 100 Little Gull.
10 Whooper Swans and 6 Barnacle Geese logged, 7 Yellow-browed Warbler, Shorelark, 90 Redwing and a Pied Flycatcher.
