Working on improving the design of highlights/margin notes in @skyreader.app . Now puts community notes in the left margin and your notes to the right. More clear when your notes are private vs published to @margin.at
New in @skyreader.app: links from the people you follow on Bluesky!
Similar to Nuzzel (rip) and the excellent @sill.social, Skyreader can now read your Bluesky timeline and find the links people you follow are sharing so you can read cool things without spending all your time on the timeline.
For now you need an Atmosphere account (Eurosky, Bluesky, etc.). Might look into supporting email-only accounts in the future but some features just can't work without atproto
ah looks like that site is blocking our backend extractor. will see what we can do (at the very least need a better error message) but in the meantime you can use the chrome extension which should work chromewebstore.google.com/detail/skyre...
Just released a new @skyreader.app update with an experimental feature call Reading Rooms that attempts to recreate the experience of a book/journal club where you can gather to read together.
Yep, Substack RSS should work fine!
And the Firefox extension is now available too!
at the moment we use @semble.so / @margin.at records when you opt-in for public bookmarks/saves. surprisingly complicated but more to come especially post AT spaces
Yep! Coming soon!
The Skyreader Chrome extension is now available!

Exciting vision for @skyreader.app, with lots of cool use cases for research as well. Added to the ecosystem map atproto.science/ecosystem/ ✅
(and we should have added it a long time ago 😅)
If you are getting value out of Skyreader and this resonates, you can now directly support operations and ongoing development with a paid subscription plan: skyreader.app/supporter
My vision for @skyreader.app and the modern reading app ecosystem.
Really excited for this @skyreader.app update: highlight review mode! Actually remember what you read. Review mode shows a daily selection of your highlights with controls to add notes, show more/less often, and jump back into the article. Review just Skyreader highlights or import from @margin.at.
