Many thanks to @graemethomson.bsky.social for sorting me a signed copy of his extraordinary John Martyn biography, which, once I've re-read it, will join his equally essential "In Another World: The Four Seasons of Talk Talk" on the special shelf. 🙌
100% recommend both to any musician / music lover.

My good friend Rob Jenkinson and I worked together for several years with our (hardcore industrial) Smallcreep band. Rob still helps me and @theraindogs.bsky.social out with his Jenkotronics and f*d up guitar weirdness, even on my loosest jazzy ramblings, bless him ❤️🙌

My good friend Rob Jenkinson and I always began our (hardcore industrial) Smallcreep albums with Pinhead quote samples. Rob still helps me and @theraindogs.bsky.social out with his Jenkotronics and f*d up guitar weirdness, even on my loosest jazzy ramblings, bless him ❤️🙌

On September 11, 1948, John Martyn was born Ian David McGeachy in New Malden, Surrey. From an early age he was raised by his father and his wider paternal family in Shawlands, Glasgow. As an adult he made some astonishing music and did some terrible things.
