Last week the College of Arts held its summer staff BBQ, during which the winners of its 2026 Teaching Awards were announced. History PhD candidate Aidan Hughes won the Graduate Teaching Assistant Award. And professor Ben Bradley received one of the two Faculty Teaching Awards. Congratulations! 🌞🍔🦨

This summer, PhD candidate Raymond Li was in Tokyo to research propaganda discourse and masculine identity construction in Manchukuo during WW2. He examined pre-war and wartime newspapers and government archives at the Japanese National Diet Library and also in Jimbocho’s historic used book district
