Dundee UCU is supporting staff and saying no to job cuts at the University of Dundee. Our campaign to #SaveDundeeUni https://sites.dundee.ac.uk/ducu/
Day 14 of 25. Today is our bake stand in the picket line. Come and visit us between 830-1130 today outside the Tower Building at the University of Dundee for some delicious home baked treats.
Solidarity to our friends and colleagues at Glasgow Caledonian UCU!
Day 13 of 25. We are now halfway through our industrial action to rule out compulsory redundancies at the University of Dundee. Join us on our picket line today for a friendly atmosphere and chat. Bake sale tomorrow too.
Day 10 of 26 of our strike action. After the incredible support from politicians, members and students at ours Holyrood rally yesterday, we return to Dundee and our picket line outside the Tower Building. Join us and make the University of Dundee a better place.
Amazing turnout for our joint rally with @ucuedinburgh.bsky.social at Holyrood.
Thank you to all of the MSPs from the Greens, Labour, Lib Dem’s and SNP.
Thanks to @ucuscotland.bsky.social @ucu.org.uk for supporting all of our efforts to stop cuts to universities across the country.
No more cuts!
There’s been no consequences so far. The rejected URP has been imposed on staff and students, and another 120 people will be made redundant above what it had set out. Feels like Nigel Seaton and Lee Hamill were handed a blank check from the SFC.
Day 8 of 25. We moved our picket line to this afternoon and we were blessed with amazing sunshine. Our members resolve is strong as we fight against the underhanded methods employed by the UEG including not following their own processes. Thanks to the many students who support us and visited us.
Dundee suffering from Schrodinger’s deficit- it’s there when management want to cut staff, but on SFC’s closer inspection not enough to qualify for SFC relief. Which is it?🤔 Solidarity with @ducuuo.bsky.social as they fight for their jobs and their institution
The University of Dundee is making over 100 people redundant next month
At the same time it is having to explain why it has so much cash that the Scottish Funding Council won’t release £27m of extra funding!
Join our strike to rule out compulsory redundancies.
Incredible scenes at our university. Way too rich to receive further support from ScotGov but management hellbent on cutting more staff to save money? Make it make sense. #SaveUoD #StopTheCuts
@theferret.scot Thank you for your great investigation in to this complex situation.
Dundee University is continuing with compulsory redundancies. It argues this is required for the financial survival.
However, the University’s cash is so high they may not qualify for £27m of the £40m additional SFC funding. The SFC have asked PWC to investigate.
Power to @ducuuo.bsky.social!

Day 5 of 25. It's never too late to join the strike. If you're a member come and join us on the picket line at the front of the Tower Building from 8am this morning. The turnout has been higher than ever, so you'll be joining a successful collective action to save the jobs of your colleagues.
Amazing turnout today on Day 4 of our picket to rule out compulsory redundancies.
Day4 of 25. The sun is out and we need everyone to come and join us today on the picket line. If you’re in Dundee and well, get yourself down to the front of the Tower!
At the University of Dundee we raised concerns that cutting one of the teams that plays a major role in supporting applicants was being dismantled by being targeted by redundancies. The executive did not care and continued with their plan. If Dundee loses its license it will be because of this.
