A street once dominated by parked cars to a car free place for people, with children playing, greenery and cafés making use of reclaimed outdoor space. This is what’s possible when we choose to redesign our streets for life, not storage.

@solveschoolrun.bsky.socialIt is bizarre not to have enforcement, we totally agree! But great to hear you have cameras locally. Not all school streets get them, no. You still see, eg. temporary barriers manned by the caretaker or signs but no cameras. It just doesn't work.

@planningtransport.co.ukReposted by @solveschoolrun.bsky.socialThis was a good move. If you are running a quick errand you can get the return for the price of a single. Also good where a journey can be completed more quickly by changing bus.

Gah! 🚗💨 We could have told them school run traffic can account for 25% of traffic in the morning, layered on top of rush hour traffic. 😜 Please share this to help prevent other security teams making the same mistake.
@solveschoolrun.bsky.socialAnd why wouldn't you? Cycling, whether on a regular bike or on a cargo, is such a brilliant way to get to school. And to know that as they get older they can do so independently is the dream.
