Americans Without Borders is out this week!

Inspired by the story of a distant cousin, investigative journalist Julia Harte explores the rich and hidden history of American citizens who fought against imperialism and dictatorship abroad, only to be excoriated at home.

Yellow square with he following text: "Julia Harte's subject matter is so intriguing that it's surprising no one has done a book like this before. The lives of these Americans are testimony to an idealism that knows no national boundaries."
—Adam Hochschild, author of Spain in Our Hearts: Americans in the Spanish Civil War, 1936–1939
