Last night’s incident was egregious and we are working behind the scenes to zealously advocate for protection for our member/capo and seek as severe repercussions as possible for those responsible.

What transpired last night, with one of our leaders being attacked, is an absolute all time low. This community has so much potential for good but the inconsistency in its treat and protection of black and brown fans makes us question why we’re even here. It has to be better than this.

Today is the 5 year anniversary of players pausing play in protest against sexual misconduct & the league's handling of misconduct. This show of solidarity & courage would lead to many of the systemic changes in the NWSL. A moment that also serves as a reminder of the need to keep speaking out ❤️

my brain when andré posts the words "pure destroyer"

Five years ago, a summer of scandals brought the NWSL to a halt. The players banded together to get back on the field on their own terms.

Happy game day!

I missed this but there is no scenario where it makes sense to blame a player for their hair being too long after it gets pulled by an opponent. Just asinine.

Again, I’m not a commentator, have never done live comms (either PbP or colour), and I know it’s a very particular job but it’s also a job that *can* be done without any snide racism. You’re blaming the player who suffered a clear red card foul, do a thousand times better.

So who is gonna point out that again it’s Jordan Angeli being problematic?

We want to thank the BWPC for always looking out for the players and particularly for their show of support for Jordynn after the last match. The league, officials, and broadcast partners need to do better.
