Website update: my import of my beehiiv posts to my new Ghost archive failed (problem on my end, I think), so I added in posts manually. Because that was kind of a pain, I did not carry over images, and I've only added rounds ups and 2026 monthly updates. But that is now complete! Yay!

There's another publication that calls these "chestnut stories"—vampires, werewolves and zombies—and says they're hard sells. They are. We see a lot of them. But when they do something fresh, as @cjtavares.bsky.social does, we still love them. You'll love this one, too.

So, an update on moving: I may get the chance to stay in Seattle in the next 3 months or so. I've talked to people and they think they can get me settled to move by the time I go back to FL in December. So, if you'd like to give me an early birthday gift and help me stay out there, here you go:

Thank you so much! There's a bit of a learning curve for me with Ghost since I don't have much of a tech background, but so far the efforts have proven very worth it. And Magic Pages has been a huge help.

I am very excited for this new site. Managing a website and a newsletter and socials and everything else an author is supposed to do on top of, you know, actually writing can get kind of stressful. I am hopeful this switch will make it much easier and more fun for both me and visitors.

I moved from Wordpress to Ghost (Magic Pages). It's still fresh out of the box, but so far I am loving it. Most of it will look the same as the old website, but there are some differences in function and designs, including a new banner...
