#Kenya has reported a case of #Ebola caused by Bundibugyo virus, in a Kenyan citizen who had been living in #DRC. The patient became ill in DRC & received treatment in several hospitals, then travelled from DRC to Nairobi via Kampala. He died in Nairobi yesterday. My condolences to his loved ones.

LSHTM alumnus Dr Silviu Domente appointed by @who.int as its new representative in Ukraine.

Complacency leaves the world vulnerable. Political will is the need of the hour. Continued investment in epidemic/pandemic preparedness, stronger global cooperation, and fair access to health solutions will help make the Pandemic Agreement a reality.
