@samanthabwriter.bsky.socialI hate that I keep being too busy on Wednesday afternoons to participate. But here’s what the fine folks of #HorrorWritersChat were up to yesterday!
@samanthabwriter.bsky.socialThe first of my Indie books is officially in the black! And the second one only needs to sell one more print copy to get there. Not bad for nine months in! Check out the details over on Substack: samanthabwriter.substack.com/p/going-indi...
@samanthabwriter.bsky.socialFeeling this cartoon today, y'all. How are your plans going?
@samanthabwriter.bsky.socialThis is going to be GREAT. If you live in our corner of North Carolina, I hope you'll come chat with us.

I will be hosting this week's #HorrorWritersChat
Join us for 4 questions, a chat, and some self-promo at the end:
@samanthabwriter.bsky.socialThanks for another great #HorrorWritersChat It really darkened a rainy afternoon in all the best ways :-) If you want to check out my short horror fiction, you can find it at dangerouswhenbored.com/collections/... I hope you'll check out my latest anthology releases from this summer!
@samanthabwriter.bsky.socialI LOVE their names.
@samanthabwriter.bsky.socialIt does start to feel like they all turn out to be terrible, doesn't it?
@samanthabwriter.bsky.socialI'd thank my mother for all the unsupervised reading, and my uncles for the books and comics they left laying around :-) #HorrorWritersChat
@samanthabwriter.bsky.socialShe used to be local to me in North Carolina and I got to panel with her more than once. She is a delight!
@samanthabwriter.bsky.socialThat WOULD be neat.
@samanthabwriter.bsky.socialI'm picturing that kind of this:
@samanthabwriter.bsky.socialThere is something to be said for hanging out with the folks who aren't famous, but are working hard to create great stories.
@samanthabwriter.bsky.socialIf his social media is any indicator, he'd be a delight to table with.
@samanthabwriter.bsky.socialI'll practice my Vincent Price-esque delivery :-)
@samanthabwriter.bsky.socialI once actually shared a table with Gabino Iglesias and that was a great conversation. Low foot traffic meant not-that-many sales for either of us, but I loved the chance to talk with him. Would also love the chance to learn from Silvia Moreno-Garcia, too. #HorrorWritersChat
@samanthabwriter.bsky.socialThat sounds like FUN!
@samanthabwriter.bsky.socialI've heard that story before, too. I wonder if it's actually true…
@samanthabwriter.bsky.socialI'm participating in a library panel in October on a similar topic. We called it "Horror is My Safe Space." Your autistic lens topic sounds awesome, too!
@samanthabwriter.bsky.socialI'm down. Let me know when I can watch this one! Sounds marvelous and I hope you do it!
